Walden Pond

Overview + Key Features
This project was made up of several tasks. One of these tasks involved excavating many large areas to prepare for tree and shrub plantings. In preparation for this part of the project, we also created our own approved soil mix. Approximately 1,000 yards were created in the winter leading up to this project. Additionally, we transplanted a 25’ maple tree onsite from one spot to another, and also added other trees along the trail to match the existing natural trees.
Challenges
Large plant deliveries and determining locations for where both plants and loam would be dropped required coordination from multiple parties.
Solution
Effectively communicating and facilitating between different parties allowed an easy installation process.
End Result
The project was completed according to schedule. This project was particularly exciting, as Don Henley from the "Eagles" attending the ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony.
