HRO System Upgrade

Overview + Key Features
This particular project required a high level of communication and coordination to overcome unforeseen roadblocks. The goal was to provide redundancy for the existing Humidification Reverse Osmosis (HRO) system equipment serving multiple floors and applications within the building. To do this, a second HRO system was introduced to service the roof level independent of the HRO system serving the second floor lab space. The second system has the added benefit of being used for a future connection point for the equipment on the mezzanine level of the building.
Challenges
A major challenge of this project was that the existing system couldn't be shut down during GMP operations. To prepare for this, our scope that would affect the buildings utility's was completed during a shutdown in December. This helped with the arrival of the new work installation in the spring time.
Solution
To ensure the process went as smoothly as possible during the designated time frame, our team facilitated coordination between the client, the clients internal engineering team, the clients internal facilities team, the design team scoped for the project, and subcontractors we held to complete the scope. A clear and detailed plan was required for everyone to have the same understanding of what was needed to complete the project on time.
End Result
This project is currently underway and we look forward to sharing the end results upon completion.
